Written for the Junior Band of the Royal Irish Academy of Music, this piece is in two distinctive parts. The first is a steady 4/4 section that is designed to settle the band into performance while the second section, featuring the Trumpet section, is a broad melody puncuated by rhythmic orchestral stabs. The piece was originally conceived without trombones, tuba or Euphonium as these instruments were missing from the ensemble.

An Energetic Piece (Copied from Sibeliusmusic.com)
This piece may not seem interesting to many at the start, but after the opening themes, it bursts into a very energetic and exciting piece. It is very well rounded and inforces the melody in several places by doubling in the same octave in the same instrument. This is crucil if your middle school or even high school bands have odd instrumentation. Most groups would probably drown out the melody, so this piece avoids that problem completely. This would be a composition worthy of playing at a music festival or even your own band concert because it is well written and the music is fetching. I highly recommend it. Clayton Miracle-Slusser
