The 15th International WASBE conference has opened in CHiayi City, Taiwan. And by all accounts, things are going really well. Earlier today, there was a performance given by the Norwegian Wind Orchestra in front of a sold out 1100 seater concert hall. That's a little different than it was in Killarney in 2007 when ticket sales were on the weak side to say the least. I was supposed to attend the conference in my capacity as a WASBE Board member but alas, due to work constraints, I was unable to travel. But Ireland is well represented by Danny Carroll (Clonmel) who will give a full report on his return.

Congratulations to WASBE and to Chiayi City
